If natural selection kills off the weak people with bad genetic mutations like cystic fibrosis then why do we still have people around with bad genetic diseases like cystic fibrosis? shouldn't they have died off? Just a thought. Comment if you have an idea as to why or anything I haven't taken into consideration.

Although it is a genetic mutation that should have died off millions of years ago, there is also a chance that medication could take part in this role. As medication are allowing the people with eg. genetic fibrosis to have a longer life allowing them to have a higher chance of offspring with another genetic mutation.

Good point, didn't think of it that way! I was also thinking that maybe because it is possible that these diseases are kept 'alive' by the fact that people can be carriers of the mutation but not actually have the disease, If you only needed 1 copy of the mutation to get the disease then that disease would have died off a lot quicker I suppose.
